Copford is a small village to the West of Colchester, Essex, and has an electorate of approximately 2000. Copford was once a manor held by the Bishop of London and on the passing of Sir Edmund Bonner in 1569 it was passed to the ownership of the State until 1609 when it became privately owned again.
Easthorpe is a small village that is linked to Copford via the Parish Council settlement area. Easthorpe is on a Roman Road and has a Church in the heart of the Village that serves residents, and those of nearby Copford and Copford Green.
